Recently, Taahirah skipped the Super Bowl to attend the Janet Jackson concert. After ticking it off the bucket list she has another concert in mind, but her father is apparently not in favor. Shaq has been a massive Beyonce fan, so why is he not in favor of his daughter attending the concert?
Well, the 28-year-old added a few stories of her regular Tuesday work day. First, she was on the set accompanying her father on the TNT Tuesday show. Let’s remember that she is part of the communications department in Shaq’s company. The second picture of her day was of a grumpy-looking Shaquille O’Neal. Taahirah added the caption, “Pops after I asked for Beyonce tickets.” Yes, Queen Bey fans are overjoyed as the $800 million worth star announced the Cowboy Carter Tour.
Getting tickets for it won’t be an easy task, that’s why she asked for her father’s help. But it seems she may have a change of heart. In another story, Taahirah added a screenshot of a tweet: “Beyonce with these prices I’ll just stay at home and watch coach Carter.” Many fans on the net are blaming Ticket Master and their dynamic pricing model for the increased price. But that’s where Shaquille O’Neal can actually help his daughter.
In a previous interview, the 4x NBA champion explained how he had never watched Beyonce’s performance live. “I’ve never seen Beyonce perform. I called her one time and asked her for tickets for my daughter. She called my daughter onstage. AMEX hooked that up. She called my daughter onstage and wished her a happy birthday.” Although Shaq did not mention which daughter got that opportunity, Taahirah is certainly hinting she wants this treatment through her stories.

The Lakers legend has been a huge fan of the Emmy Award-winning artist. In 2010, he even decided to cross-dress as Beyoncé for Halloween. There was a video that revealed Shaq’s costume and his singing ‘Turn the lights on’. Unsurprisingly, the video went viral, and the fans couldn’t believe their eyes.
Shaquille O’Neal also revealed his interaction with meeting Queen B. “I have only been around Beyoncé one and a half times. But I get Medusa every time I look at her…” In the middle of the sentence, he froze for a few seconds with his mouth wide open like he turned into stone after seeing her. Only meaning to indicate that he was awe-struck meeting the 43-year-old star.
It’s not just Shaq, who feels this way. Many fans across the globe will feel the same. Taahirah too wants to experience it in person; we will have to wait and see if her father fulfills this wish.
