Similarly, Booker’s teammate Kevin Durant too was involved in one such rumor mill with WNBA star Angel Reese.
The Sky forward was not part of the Olympics but went in as a spectator. In one such photo, she was sitting alongside Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and his wife Ayesha. Speaking about it on her podcast, Angel Reese spilled the hot tea on the entire situation. “No, that was never a thing. I don’t even know how that even became a thing.” She continued by stating KD was and is her favorite player, but there is no truth in any romantic connection.
“I love his mom, she comes out and supports the games. So yeah, that (the rumor) was dead,” she said on Unapologetically Angel. Reese and Wanda Durant, Kevin Durant’s mother, did meet in June, during a match against the Washington Mystics.
