Caitlin Clark loves a little step out to explore sports outside basketball. Baseball, for instance, is something she seems to enjoy dabbling in off late. Just last month, she was in attendance for the New York Yankees game against the Texas Rangers. Even threw out a ceremonial first pitch for the Iowa Cubs a couple of years ago. Now she is back in her baseball attire, Indiana this time, and consequently had her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, let a little secret slip.
Just ahead of the Indy Indians 3rd straight game against the Rochester Wings, Indiana Fever posted a video on X that saw the W rookie attempting shots in the batting cage. “Dinger!” Caitlin Clark shows off her skills in the batting cage at the @indyindians game,” the post read. It was then reposted by someone who seemed to be a friend of Clark’s boyfriend and teammate at Iowa Athletics, Izaya Fullard. He teased, “Swing better than @connor_m30 no [cap]”.
As soon as it caught McCaffery’s attention, he couldn’t resist chiming in. “Woahhhhh don’t make me pull up receipts,” McCaffery wrote. Given that he was a baseball player for a little while during his college days at Iowa, it’s no surprise he was ready to defend his skills.

But he is with the Indiana Pacers staff right now after playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes for six years. His base there (Indiana) since last year, Clark revealed, even made it easier for the rookie to transition into her new home playing for the WNBA.
