Cameron Brink’s Injury Break Takes a Romantic Turn With Boyfriend Ben Felter for National Soulmate Day as WNBA Star Remains on the Sidelines

“Live your life in the moment.” This mantra perfectly captures Cameron Brink’s approach. Despite facing setbacks in her rookie season, she has embraced the present and has dealt with it gracefully. When the Los Angeles Sparks selected Brink as their second overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, she wouldn’t have thought that a season-ending injury would force her out of the action in the league’s first half itself. Nevertheless, it hasn’t slowed down her zest for life as the rookie recently spent quality time with her boyfriend.

Brink’s followers must be no strangers to her longtime boyfriend, Ben Felter, as she frequently shares glimpses and reels of their time together on social media. However, this time she decided to acknowledge her relationship by posting a picture with Felter on the occasion of National Soulmate Day. The rookie forward shared a snippet on her Instagram story, showing the couple hugging each other while they enjoy in the pool. She also wrote, “National Soulmate Day. Post your other half.”
The love story between Cameron Brink and Ben Felter has been going on for quite some time now. The couple is said to have met during their university time. Felter, who attends Stanford University, is not only a student but also a member of the university’s men’s rowing team. The WNBA rookie met him at Stanford and that’s where their relationship blossomed three years back.
Well, Felter has been a constant source of support for Brink, standing by her side throughout her injury. Brink’s rookie season has been nothing but a tough challenge after she suffered a major setback just before the Olympic break. Let’s reflect on her being out of action.

Cameron Brink’s setback in her rookie season

Imagine getting called up to represent your nation on the grand stage of the Olympics just at the age of 22! Well, Brink had that moment when she was selected for Team USA 3×3 basketball team, which later went on to win the bronze medal in Paris. But, as people say, heartbreaks happen when everything seems to be going smoothly. “You never think it will happen to you,” Brink wrote on social media after facing a major setback.

It was against Connecticut Sun in June when the WNBA rookie tore her ACL, forcing her not just out of the league but from the Paris trip as well. Later on, Brink had to undergo surgery to repair the damage, and that has kept the rookie sidelined from the WNBA action.

Before her injury, the former Stanford athlete averaged 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Sparks. She played in 15 games, with an average of 22 minutes each time. Despite being sidelined by injury, Cameron Brink remains a passionate supporter of her team, cheering them on every step of the way while embracing the challenges and joys that life continues to offer.
