J.T. Miller managed to score only nine goals in 40 games with Canucks this season. Instead of making the news for his prolific scoring ability, Miller was making headlines for his feud with Elias Pettersson. Yet, those who doubted Miller’s ability quickly got a reality check when the veteran player immediately put his name on the scoreboard during his New York Rangers debut.
“Well, that didn’t take long. JT Miller scores in his first period back with the #NYR,” posted The Hockey News. So when the Canucks took down Miller’s banner, the fans once again lamented losing the experienced forward to the Rangers. “End of era. The JT Miller banner is down at @RogersArena,” posted Parlay One Media CEO Shanel Pratap.
He also shared a snapshot of the moment J.T. Miller’s banner came down, and fans weren’t happy. “Still gutted by this trade,” commented one fan after watching Miller spring back to form with the Rangers. “We’ve f***ed up big-time,” added the Canucks fans. However, the fan’s reaction wasn’t surprising considering Miller notched two goals, and two assists in two games for the Rangers.
