Danica Patrick has been very vocal about the love she shares for animals and has often taken to her social media to raise awareness about the same. As assertive as she might be on the tracks, her love for animals shows a different side, only getting more profound with time.
While she might have hung her NASCAR helmet quite some time back, it seems as though she is not getting off her philozoic robes anytime soon. But, let’s address the elephant in the room. From Vegan to Anti-Vegan to Animal Lover again, that’s quite a long transition. But the sky might be multi-colored for Patrick.
Patrick says that she would leave all her jobs happily
Danica Patrick has always embraced new opportunities with open arms, may it be political involvement or voicing her opinions against veganism. But this time it’s truly special. Recently, she took to social media to share her admiration for Steve Greig, a well-known zoophilist whom she considers her ultimate hero. Greig, renowned for his compassion, has opened his home to ten rescue dogs, many of them seniors, all adopted from difficult situations. Patrick’s heartfelt tribute only reinforces her deep-rooted love for animals.
Danica herself is a proud dog-mom having two fur babies. She has a Belgian Malinois named Ella and a Siberian Husky named Dallas. Anyone who follows Patrick on her social media would be able to spot these two angels. Patrick recently took to her Instagram and reposted a reel to her story. The video consisted of a shelter helper who was spending some gala moments with rescued puppies. Patrick captioned it, “That’s it. I quit all my jobs and responsibilities and only do this!!!! For free !!!!! I guess I would even pay.”
It is not the first time that Patrick shared the desire to get involved in rescue work. A few days ago, she took to her Instagram account and shared how she would love to embark on a journey where she rescues dogs, especially those who are old. Her post read, “Might as well start off with dogs! 
I dream about rescuing the oldest dogs at a shelter to give them a happy home during their last years… I just don’t stay in one place enough right now. 
someday…..”
It is great to see celebrities getting involved in animal volunteerism. Danica Patrick has now joined the league of Ryan Newman, Kyle Busch, and Alex Bowman, not in racing but when it comes to her love for animals. Remember the 2021 Nashville Superspeedway race? Kyle Busch and JGR No. 18 Toyota Camry donned images of adoptable dogs on their cars! Alex Bowman has been a Rescue animal advocate even before he adopted his first sweet rescue pup, Roscoe in 2013. He later went on to adopt a second pup and named it Finn. The driver of the HMS Chevy no. 48 in 2023 said, “Anything to do with animals hits home for me, no matter what it is.”

Recently, Patrick also hosted a live session via her Instagram profile with popular pet psychic, Karen Anderson and later uploaded the video on her YouTube channel. The former NASCAR driver had become extremely depressed after she lost her 9-week-old puppy Oz in Cresco, Pennsylvania. While this was more than 10 years ago, the loss had stayed in her heart forever. The two were seen engaging in an insightful discussion about how pets visit their owners after they are dead. But, let’s get straight to the point, is Danica an Animal lover or a selective animal lover?
Danica Patrick, who has previously said, “You can live off steak, not broccoli,” should ideally be the last person to talk about animal rescue. But, here we are! Many fans might argue that people in many parts of the world eat dogs too and seeing someone like that could get her to outrage. However, no such situation has arisen yet. When she voted during the presidential elections, she made it evident who her choice was. Patrick took to Instagram and shared, “I voted today, for the first time. I made a rule for myself that if I didn’t vote I could not have an opinion about the outcome, because I didn’t earn that right. Not this time. I voted for Donald Trump and I can’t wait to have him make America great again!”
Since Mr. Trump has been elected as the president, and he has taken up the responsibilities, several orders have been passed. One such order that has caused some ruckus is how the transgender community should not be a part of women’s sports. Extending her support on the decision, Patrick took to her Instagram and wrote, “Amen!!!!!!!!”
Patrick has been subjected to a lot of criticism and scrutiny for her political affiliations. Her love for animals is as strong as her opinion and she has shown indomitable belief in standing by what she thinks is right, no matter the opposition. Whether it’s racing, politics, or rescue work, Patrick has never been one to shy away from speaking her truth and following her heart.
