Over the last few days, IShowSpeed has been chasing rainbows! First, he took on the world’s fastest man, Noah Lyles, in a sprint battle, then shared the training floor with a 2x Olympic medalist gymnast. While everyone was impressed by his athleticism (especially considering he’s not a pro), he ultimately ran out of steam when compared to Noah. And now, he’s at it again, challenging American gymnast Fred Richards.
As per a reel uploaded by Fred Richards on Instagram, it looks like IShowSpeed is aiming high (quite literally), for he recently challenged the USA star in a high jump face-off. In fact, the video shows IShowSpeed claiming, “There’s nobody on this planet who can jump higher than me!” which many would agree is an outlandish statement. However, Fred Richard’s reaction to this exaggerated boast was rather simple. “Loser has to take an ice bath,” he puts a condition forward for the YouTube streamer, who surprisingly agrees to shake hands over it.
Thus, days after racing Noah Lyles, IShowSpeed and Fred Richard lock horns, starting with mats as high as 2 feet, which the former surpasses with a simple step. Whereas, Fred nails it with a marvellous backflip, to which the internet personality reacts with, “Like why is he [Fred] showing out!” Next, the 3ft level doesn’t seem much of a challenge, but the 4ft mark has both of them boosting themselves. IShowSpeed asserts, “My names speed” right before the leap, while Fred Richard’s claims, “You know I am FrederickFlips” in reply.
Neither one of them cracked under the pressure as they jumped the next two levels with great ease. But, when it came to the final rung, the 7ft mark, it was the same near-miss for IShowSpeed that happened against Noah Lyles. While Richard went for the jump first and landed perfectly, his competitor touched his knees of the mat in the first attempt, somehow managing to land. “I did it I did it” IShowSpeed claimed to have made it through, but both his attempts had the same result—they were good, but not quite enough!
