How Many Kids Do Padraig Harrington & His Wife Caroline Have Together? Golf Legend’s Personal Life Revealed

We all know how we all need that one shoulder to rest our heads on after a tiring day of work and it becomes more necessary when you are an athlete. the people in the sports industry deal with more than just fans’ hate and well in Padraig Harrington‘s case he doesn’t have one but three of those shoulders from his biggest fans and loving family. His wife Caroline and their two sons, Patrick and Ciaran are his support system and the golfer doesn’t fail to show just how important they are to him.

His elder son who was Patrick born in 2003 made the golfer realise just how good of a father he can be. Patrick was seen at the 2007 U.S. Open and stole the spotlight when he asked if he could put ladybirds into The Claret Jug after his dad’s Open Championship win. This adorable moment truly shows how interactive the golfer is with his kids and how much the kids feel safe and happy around him. But does Harrington have only one son? No, the golfer became a boy dad again when his second son was born in 2007 the same year he sealed his first major win.

In the past couple of years, Patrick and Ciaran have been regularly spotted cheering on their dad at tournaments often alongside their mom Caroline. She’s been the golfer’s rock since they tied the knot in 1997 and loves to celebrate milestones like their 20th anniversary with low-key dinners. But it came off as no surprise that the golfer turned out to be a great athlete as his dad also played Gaelic football for Cork and golf to a five handicap.

Padraig Harrington’s advice to fellow parents

Getting your kids into golf can be a daunting task, especially with all the other cool things competing for their attention. But Padraig Harrington has some wise words to share and we think they might work because you know he is a legit golfer and all. He believes that making golf fun is the key to hooking your kids for life. “In hindsight, the best way, if you want to get your kid into the game of golf, is to bring him somewhere where you’re not stressed. That’s very important. Kids pick up on that,” Harrington said, per Golf.com.

Imagine taking your little ones to the course, letting them explore and play without stressing about perfect swings. Harrington says it’s all about creating a positive vibe and ending sessions on a high note before they get tired or frustrated. “Let them do what they like when they’re there, have a bit of fun if they want to hit one shot, two shots, 10 shots, play in the bunker, look in the water, or whatever they wanna do, let them do, and generally bring them home before they get tired, he continued. According to the golfer, it’s not about crafting the next Tiger Woods; it’s about sharing your passion and making memories.

He further explored that the parents should always let the kids have what they want to have and spend some quality time together with maybe some ice cream. “When you’re finished, take 10 minutes to spend with your son or daughter and go and have a Coke, a Pepsi this week, go and have a Pepsi in the bar, wherever it is, and sit there have an ice cream, and spend 10, 15 minutes”, he said.
