Well, ask the man himself and he’ll tell you about his recent side hustle as he starred in Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins® commercial ahead of the Super Bowl.
The ad showcases hilarious things the head coach can now do during his off-season. Skechers, the third-largest footwear brand in the world, teamed up with Reid for the brand’s 12th Big Game appearance. “I’m a no-nonsense football guy who needs everything around me to be easy so I can just focus on the game—especially when it’s for the championship,” Andy Reid shared his excitement in a statement. “
“These Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins have made my routine quicker and easier. No one wants to go into overtime just because of their shoes, and best of all, they give me time to focus on my second career that you’ll see in my first commercial for Skechers!” Uh-huh? His second career? Well, if we check out the 30-second commercial, the legendary head coach can be seen doing a lot of side hustles (pretty hilarious as well). From trying out a pizza to check out some gold accessories, looks like Andy Reid is all set for the coming off-season.
How much Chiefs’ head coach is earning for Super Bowl ad?
Appearing for the Brand’s 12th Big Game, Skechers dropped the 30-second commercial featuring Andy Reid on YouTube four days ago. Sure, it’s their 12th Big Game appearance, and the brand is spending millions on the commercial. However, it’s still a mystery how much the Chiefs’ head coach is getting paid for his role. But one thing’s clear, the Brand is also rooting for the Chiefs’ three-peat. Because why not?
In a statement, Michael Greenberg, the president of Skechers, declared, “This is the perfect venue to present our campaign as he’s coaching with the chance for an unprecedented third straight win. With more than three decades of Skechers, the third-largest footwear brand in the world, maybe a three-peat for the coach is in the cards. Andy also proves that there’s endless unexpected possibilities when you go hands free with the signature comfort and convenience of Skechers Slip-ins!”
The Chiefs fans are also hoping for the three-peat in Reid’s cards. But let’s be real: this isn’t the first time the head coach entertained us with his commercials, right? Remember his 2022 TV spot for State Farm. Yeah, the same ad when Andy Reid was a serial mustache drawer. And the victim? It was none other than his partner in crime, Patrick Mahomes.
In the commercial, Reid revealed in an aeroplane that he draws mustaches on players’ faces when they’re asleep and he did the same with Mahomes as well. The commercial ends with Mahomes striding through the aeroplane aisle donning a Rollie Fingers-like mustache. Well, the QB didn’t have any clue who drew the mustache as he said, “Coach, it happened again.”
