The mega event that featured him and Mike Tyson in the headliner reportedly broke the live gate and viewership records. Both Paul and Tyson received massive paydays—something even seasoned champions can only dream of.
Could this be the reason why Daniel Dubois and Artur Beterbiev have turned their sights on ‘The Problem Child’? Understandably, most fans and experts would scoff at such a matchup idea. So far, Jake Paul has fought mostly retired or out-of-prime former UFC champions and boxers, with Mike Tyson being no exception. His only defeat came at the hands of Tommy Fury, a current boxer. A fight against a boxer of Dubois or Beterbiev’s caliber could spell trouble for the Ohioan. Veteran boxing commentator Gareth A. Davies nonetheless postulated—what if Paul accepted the challenge from Dubois?

According to Gareth A. Davies, Jake Paul has kind of become a ‘magnet’ for all champions and boxers. Speaking about the Dubois callout, he told the Pro Boxing Fans reporter that probably Dubois might have been testing waters. “He’s throwing it out there on the off chance that Jake Paul says that, you know what? Yeah, I will. In a moment of madness, in a fit of pique,” Davies conjectured.
Dissecting the situation further, the Telegraph’s boxing correspondent highlighted how Jake Paul has yet to reply back to Daniel Dubois. Why? So according to him, while he might be brave, for certain Paul is not a ‘foolish’ person. He understands what might be in store for him if he steps into the ring against someone like Dubois.
“There’s no way Daniel Dubois is going to play the game with him, and obviously they are seeing dollar signs,” Davies said, adding, “Frank Warren’s commented on it as well—as it’s ludicrous, it won’t happen, there’s no chance on earth of that fight happening.”
However, he left it at that because, as far as ‘The Problem Child’ is concerned, one could never be certain—he might as well go ahead with the clash.

Despite suffering a controversial loss to Oleksandr Usyk last year, Daniel Dubois didn’t let the setback hold him back. His resurgence saw him engage in one tough battle after another, from slugfests with Jarrell Miller to Filip Hrgovic, all of which proved difficult challenges. In front of ninety thousand fans at the Wembley, the win over Anthony Joshua announced his arrival at the big stage. ‘Triple D’ is no longer an afterthought. So it’s hard to envision Jake Paul signing up for a fight against a heavy hitter like Dubois, a champion still in his prime. But if he does, it would surely make for an intriguing matchup.
