In the 4th quarter of the 49ers vs Lions week 17 matchup, Brock Purdy was trying to find an open player to pass the ball. But the SS Brian Branch came running from his right. It was too late before the QB could see him. He tried to turn back but was pulled down before the DE Pat O’Connor jumped on him. During the tackle, his right elbow got injured. Fans were fearful of a serious injury. But the HC Kyle Shanahan made a statement that will lighten up their moods.
Speaking with the reporters in the post-game conference, he revealed that Brock Purdy suffered a non-serious ‘nerve injury’ in his right elbow. He asked more time to find the extent but did say that QB’s status for the last game Cardinals is up in the air. While talking about it, he said, “Just talking to the doctors, he just got hit in the right spot. When you get hit there, your nerves go and you can’t feel much, but hopefully it’ll be alright.”
