In yet another post, Ohanian once again beamed with pride, sharing how she is preparing to carry forward her mother’s legacy—albeit a little differently.
There is hardly any doubt about Ohanian’s elder daughter Olympia’s golfing skills. It has only been a few days since she stole everyone’s attention with a perfect shot. Olympia’s coach, Brittany Ferrante, shared the video on Instagram, obviously proud of her seven-year-old student’s skills in the sport already. Clearly, Olympia has already followed in her mother’s footsteps with early signs of great athleticism. And the tennis star’s husband was quick to notice the parallels.
Ohanian, a proud girl dad, shared a video on his IG story hyping up his daughter. As Olympia took a swing on the course, Ohanian couldn’t help but marvel as he wrote, “@olympiaohanian Height by papa Athleticism by mama Swing by @brittanyferrante.” His words echoed his happiness at Olympia having the best of both her parents’ genes. The same video was also shared by him on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a cheeky “GM” caption highlighting how he intended to make his followers’ morning worthy with Olympia’s swings, perfected with the help of her coach. Needless to say, each of his words revealed the pure admiration of a father who can’t help but show off how dedicated his daughter is to her favorite sport.

Now, this is not Ohanian’s first post like this. In fact, he is a frequent sharer of Olympia’s achievements on social media. Only two days back, he showed off Olympia’s excellence to his IG platform again. Dropping a picture of his elder daughter at the Albany Golf Resort in Bahamas , he wrote, “Jr got four stokes for this hole and got par so proud.” Ohanian’s words highlighted that Olympia has progressed a lot in golfing and showing signs of slowly mastering her chosen sport.
Olympia’s mother Serena Williams also accompanied the father-daughter duo to the golf course. While Olympia had initially forayed into tennis, she took to golf more naturally – an instinct that her father nurtured over the years. And in a candid confession, Ohanian revealed how he allowed his elder daughter to choose the sport she wanted to play rather than forcing her to take something.

Although Olympia’s golfing skills are promising, she was good at tennis too. However, the racket sport is not something that sparked her interest and this genuinely disappointed her legendary mother, Serena Williams. In a conversation with Norah O’Donnell last year, she once said Olympia “doesn’t actually like to play tennis too much.” She added, “That’s a little disappointing for me, but she’s actually really good at it. So we are trying to figure out a way to get her to play a little bit.” However, Olympia’s father made a different revelation this year.
“Whatever sports Jr wants to play! Here for it,” said the Reddit co-founder, letting people know that her parents never overruled her choices. Interestingly, Olympia’s athletic interests are not limited to golfing or tennis. She is a fan of soccer too and co-owns Angel City FC – an all-female NSL team – with her parents and baby sister.
Nevertheless, Olympia’s success displays the effects of great parenting. Her mother Serena Williams never forced her for tennis despite their family legacy and her father Alexis Ohanian made sure to support her dreams.
