The Tech giant is ready for the new NBA season and is already considering a new face. From next season, Amazon will have the media rights for the league, unless a verdict against them is announced. And they are not looking at Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, or Ernie Johnson. In fact, they are probing for a recently retired player who had a 15-year career.
“A lot of people are very interested in him. Blake is making the rounds.” Front Office Sports reported that former Clippers star Blake Griffin is in the race for being the new analyst. One of the sources also confirmed with Michael McCarthy that, “the face” of Prime’s coverage, could potentially be Blake Griffin. Recently even The Athletic reported that Prime will create original theme music for its 60-game package, for the games coverage on Thursdays and Fridays.
