Stephen Nedoroscik and Ilona Maher have proved to the world that Olympians are really miracle individuals. Both of them entered into Dancing with the Stars Season 33 after huge accomplishments in the Olympics. They had played a vital role in the US winning a bronze medal in their respective sports, which were men’s gymnastics and rugby sevens. However, when they entered DWTS, nobody really gave them much of a shot to win the trophy.
This is because neither of them had any dancing background. But now, Stephen and Ilona have proven that through hard work and dedication, anything could be possible. Both of them have made their way into the show semi-finals after a brilliant display this week. The rugby player managed to bag a 28 which is her highest tally of the season. She also got her first perfect 10 in this episode from Carrie Ann.
On the other hand, Stephen Nedoroscik, who was coming off a great display in the Halloween week, mesmerized fans with his Viennese Waltz routine. This impressed the judges too, as two of them gave him a perfect 10. Bruno Tonioli’s 9 led him and Rylee Arnold to a score of 29, which was their highest ever, and helped them book the berth to the semis.
Team USA page on X celebrated the achievement of two of their premier athletes, saying, “OUR PARIS OLYMPIANS ARE STILL DANCIN’ and are headed to the #DWTS semis!” Thus, it was a great performance for both of them, which has been imprinted in the minds of every single fan.
