Three-time Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes is one of the most recognizable players in the NFL. He is widely considered the best quarterback in the league, and being a high-profile sports figure has placed Mahomes’ family squarely in the spotlight. Although he is the most famous, the Chiefs’ #1QB is not the only sports freak in his family. And if you think it’s his former MLB player father, you are wrong.
His mother, Randi Mahomes, is a former high school basketball player. And she looks at sport more than something that happens on the field. You can assume that by the new sport she is supporting. On 8th September, Randi reshared a story of Chiefs’ running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s wife, Tenia Jojo’s story reminding her followers about the Heart & Serve Pickleball Tournament she posted about. This event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the downtown Kansas City Convention Center, to support local children.

This event is organized by Variety KC, an organization founded in 1934, to provide equality and a future to children in need. They have spent nearly a century with local children who have special needs to help them be more active and social. And now Mahomes’ family is supporting them. The organization officials stated, “We are so excited about this for so many reasons!” Telling they are honored that Variety KC has the support of the Mahomes family and glad they are the first organization that came to the family’s mind for supporting children.
Randi Martin was born in Texas, on January 18, 1972. Her father, Randy, was a school principal and always prioritized his kids’ education the most. And just like her father, she was very strict about her son being a student-athlete. And even though she is very proud to watch her son living his dream. She always told the quarterback he is a “student” before an “athlete”.
Though she was good at sports, she was more focused on academics. And even chose a different career than her ex-husband and son. And she is did great in it.
What is Randi Mahomes’ profession
Mama Mahomes’ has an online platform, named QB Producer. Where she shares her life story and photos and videos of her family. Her site’s mission statement is, “Set a positive example and make a difference in the lives of others by beginning each day with God in prayer and thanksgiving so that Jesus’ light may shine through me.” Other than this, you can also find cameos and branded products via QB Producer, including totes, clutches, sunglass cases, and passport books on the website.
In addition to her website, Patrick Mahomes’ mom worked as an event planner at Hollytree Country Club since 2005, but she retired recently. And her latest job is children’s charity Variety KC. She is an annual birthday fundraiser to help them raise money for resources to aid children with disabilities. And it is so great to see she made her love for sports to help people in need.
It’s safe to say, Mama Mahomes is using her fame the right way.
