Roman Reigns Breaks Character in Resurfaced Daniel Bryan Segment Amid WWE Return Rumors

Bryan Danielson had to miss out on last year’s AEW’s All-In due to an injury. Something that the fighter deeply regretted. However, it will not be like that this year. As Danielson is scheduled to fight Swerve Strickland in a match where he will put his professional career on the line. Without a doubt, it will be the most important match of the show due to its stakes.

In fact, Danielson even considers it the most important match of his career. Something that will remain significant even if he loses since his daughter will be watching him from the stands at Wembley. However, his legendary status as a pro wrestler wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for his run in the WWE. He became one of the biggest babyfaces in the promotion, as he was the man behind the Yes movement.

However, his run was cut short after he announced his retirement due to his neck injury, which later healed enough to allow him to go for another run in the WWE. A decision that shocked many. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bloodline continued its run as the biggest heel in the promotion. And what better move to turn fans against you than to mock their beloved babyface?

So that’s what happened when Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns decided to give a ten-bell tribute to the American Dragon during his feud with the Tribal Chief. For the unaware, the ten-bell tribute is paid to superstars who have unfortunately passed away. So the mocking was truly brutal. But it also seemed comical enough when Heyman mimicked the sound of the bells that it made Roman Reigns break character on TV. Since the Tribal Chief could barely control his laughter.

While it might’ve pissed Danielson then,  it seems less likely that he would be focusing on any such antics now that the video has resurfaced again. Since he is mentally gearing up for his toughest battle against Swerve Strickland. The American Dragon has never won a championship in the company. The fighter has publicly expressed his desire not to get involved in the headlines, so the outcome of his fight against Strickland is very unpredictable. It remains to be seen if Wembley Stadium ends up becoming the last stage on which one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation performs. And if it does, Danielson is mentally prepared for a loss as well.

Bryan Danielson says he’s mentally ready to retire

During the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Bryan Danielson spoke about his upcoming match against Swerve Strickland and stated that if his career comes to an end after the match, he is prepared to accept it and move on with his life. Bryan reiterated his desire to spend more time with his family, especially his daughters.

He said, “So I’ve been in AEW now for three years and I’ve never won a championship,” Danielson said. “The story is, I’m wrestling this match, it’s career vs title. If I lose, I’m forced to retire. It’s something I’m ready for, I’m kind of ready to be done.” He further added, “I’d rather be at home. I don’t wanna miss out. There’s this small portion of our kids lives where they actually want us there, right? I see it with my friends and my sister and all of that kind of stuff. All of the sudden, Birdie, she’s seven now, she’s going to turn into a teenager and she’s gonna have other things. Now, she wants daddy there all the time and so it’s like, I wanna be there for that.”

Although the outcome of the fight is uncertain, it is very likely that Bryan Danielson will stop fighting full-time in the coming months, regardless of whether he gets the win. He himself has mentioned on several occasions his intention to reduce his activity in the ring. So, what do you think? Will it be a win or a loss for him at All-In? Let us know in the comments.
