After losing his bantamweight title to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306, Sean O’Malley initially accepted defeat. However, he later went on to point out that he won the 1st, 3rd, and 5th rounds, which pointed fingers at the judge’s scorecard. Despite his lackluster performance, O’Malley urged the UFC to organize a rematch for him.
After listening to all such claims, ‘The Machine’ took to his X account to share his opinion on the whole. He tweeted, “I hear O’Malley thinks he won the fight and is looking for a rematch. If he wants it, he can have it. Let’s do it November 16th at the Garden, and then I’ll still defend the title against whoever the UFC wants me to fight next. What do you think?”. O’Malley has now responded to the tweet in his own style.
Sean O’Malley wants Merab Dvalishvili to focus on Umar Nurmagomedov next
It seems the battle between ‘Suga’ and Dvalishvili is far from over at the moment. After offering him a rematch on November 16, ‘The Machine’ has finally got a response from the former champion. ‘Suga’ took to his X account and tweeted, “Getting surgery Oct 3rd. Fought you with one hip and still beat you. Round 1,3,5. I’m the champion. Fight Umnar.”
