With no signs of rebound, the Thunder kept on building the lead against the Knicks from the start. The final tally stood at 101-126, slumping the Knicks to a 25-14 record. Former NY Knicks star Stephon Marbury blasted the Knicks’ poor show. With expectations failing to be met, the 47-year-old furious Marbury ended up giving a piece of advice to Mikal Bridges in his video post.

There is no denying that Bridges had a rough time in court yesterday. The 28-year-old shooting guard could not add 1 point with the nine shots he had in the game, making him an easy target for angry fans. Criticizing the performance, Marbury posted, “Bridges had a tough night tonight. And, you know, we look at him as a guy who we need to score and we need him to play defense. I’m going to scratch this one for him today.”
The Knicks, especially No. 25, just could not convert the 3-pointers, widening the margin every time. With 7 out of his 9 attempts coming from the 3-point line, none managed to pass the net.
Continuing with his anger in his video, ‘Starbury’ said, “You got to get at least one. You got to get one point. All right!”. “He get a pass today, but donuts? We can’t have donuts. We can’t have donuts. Those don’t work here,” referring to the nil points added by Mikal in 2 out of 4 games.

The worry for the Philadelphia-born from beyond the arc is not a new one. He has been struggling to net from the spot for 4 games in a row now. Only 2 came against the Raptors, 1 in the game against the Orlando Magic, and again nil against the Bulls. Moreover, this was not one player’s bad game. The entire line-up of the Knicks failed to click collectively, forcing the captain to speak some hard words in the media.

Not everything is alright for the Knicks. From 9 wins at a stretch to a dwindling performance in the last 5 games, the frustration is visible in the captain himself. Pointing out the lack of team effort, the New Jersey-born Brunson said, “We didn’t play Knicks basketball,” while speaking to the media.
Accepting the loss and how his team failed to catch up with the West Conference Table toppers, the 28-year-old captain said, “Tonight we did the wrong things and failed. Yeah, tonight sucked. That’s plain and simple.”
The captain, along with players like Josh Hart, now seem to have taken the loss streak seriously. With very little to no room for error, the NY Knicks promise to fix and regroup soon.
The comment comes on the backdrop of growing issues in the locker room of the Knicks. The New York-based team hopes to leave back the ego and individual agendas at the Madison Square Garden for one last time and come back fresh against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
