Four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers was supposed to lead the Jets out of their mediocrity over the years. However, he has massively failed to do so, as the Jets failed to make the playoffs for 14 consecutive years. Now, Rodgers isn’t the only one who is the culprit behind the Jets failing to impress again. Their owner, Woody Johnson, must be equally blamed for giving his teenage sons more control over the Jets coaching staff.
Yes, you heard that right. As per an anonymous Jets executive, Johnson allows his sons, Brick and Jack, to influence signings by examining the player’s Madden Ratings. This comes on the back of a bombshell revelation by The Athletic as they continue to expose the Jets’ mismanagement behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, it was Aaron Rodgers who cleared his stance on his Jets future on The Pat McAfee Show by expressing his interest in mentoring future Jets QB, “So if the Jets asked me back and they drafted a guy. I’d mentor the hell out of him. If I was playing and I’d try to play as well as I could to keep him on the bench.”
