It’s high stakes time for Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy. He played 16 games (13 starters) in 2024 and recorded 59 receptions in 638 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. Even as a rusher, he was great with 20 rushes in 104 rushing yards and 3 TDs. The best part! He earned a reputation for being a fast athlete. But the off-season has started on a totally opposite note. He became the center of attention after the police arrested him for allegedly assaulting a family member. Later, more light was shed on the situation.
The family member in question was his ex-fiancée, Tia Jones, the track and field athlete. He also responded by filing a lawsuit against her, seeking an amount between $250,000 and $1 million for damages. Worthy asserted that she stole and destroyed $150,000 in cash and other valuable belongings and also assaulted him.
Now, she has decided to fight back by posting her feelings on Instagram. She shared a photo from the SEC Championship and captioned it, “Proverbs 12:22“. For those of you who don’t know, Proverbs 12:22 reads, “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal faithfully are His delight.”

There are claims that she wanted to extort a $2 million home. And when Worthy denied this, she started scratching his face and even pulled out his hair. He also claims that she stole $30,000 in cash and also destroyed his gaming console with a Rolls-Royce car key. On the other hand, fearing for her life, she got a protective order in March. On April 3, a judge extended the protective order.
Stay tuned. This story is developing.
